!!! GENERAL !!! UPDATE !!!
On Oct 24th at 6p I was choppered to Riverside Hospital and at 1:30a had 'open heart' surgery. Not on my heart but on the aorta. A major operation on a condition with only an 8% percent chance of survival within the first 12 hours from onset. I had what is called an aortic dissection. Anyway, HI! ...
I was in hospital for a week and spent my first night at home on Oct 31st, and Galenda and Dorothy (and Toto, too!) are definitely right... Thank you to all who have sent their best wishes, prayers and encouragements! I will not be functioning well, at least physically, for several months but see fractional progress and improvement every day. I am feeling better every day but have several weeks yet of recovery to just get above 50% of my former strength, etc.
Yesterday I got the bill for the LifeFlight chopper ride and calculate that I need to sell about 30,000 downloads of my music just to pay for it. I'm really looking forward to the bill for the actual operation, etc. I'm sure it will motivate me to sell about a half a million downloads in order to pay for it! As I've been more or less self-employed or UN-employed, depending on how you look at it, for about a year and a half and have not had health care coverage, as soon as I have a bit more energy I will need to develop a plan to pay for the "continuance of my life", so to speak...
Now that I have pretty much nothing but time on my mind I am formulating, planning, strategizing, scheming, cogitating and otherwise trying to figure out my path. I have some ideas and we'll see what happens.

This is just aMAZing! Pause for just a

"Perfect" landing...? KillaThrill! produced this video recently showing an air-racer "landing" after
losing a wing. Real? Contrived? CGI wizardry? Lots of subterfuge and obfuscation seem to be at play here, but the video is still pretty cool!
The main question I have if this is real, whether a stunt or an example of a pilot having total
understanding of his plane's flight dynamics and maintaining total "coolth" in an extreme situation is, "How do you PRACTICE something like this?"

GUITAR 101 for KIDS of ALL AGES
Guitar 101 for Kids of All Ages is a program using several guitars that gives kids of all ages an
introduction into the history and development of the guitar as well as the parts of the guitar and their function.
Starting with the "gut string" (nylon) classical guitar and playing a Leyenda derived Spanish piece: "A Guitar Noodling Around in the Key of Espanol"
and some Flamenco styled strumming,
moving to the basic Acoustic, beginning with the arch-top steel-string, "haunted" guitar and some blues
and the standard Acoustic 6-string for a bit of country, bluegrass, folk and blues, and on to the 12-string and a
demonstration of the unique and wonderful sound the instrument provides.
Finally, for the last segment of the Acoustic guitar set, a short side-trip to the banjo, just because it is so unique and cool,
then back to the electric guitar utilising the amplifier and a few special effects pedals, to round out the show.
I also bring a few different sized instruments to allow the audience a chance to hold and strum a bit themselves.
Rates vary depending on group size and the desired show length, but generally start at $100. Special pricing is also available
